Rachel is our event coordinator and the person behind the email and social media accounts. She is a postdoctoral fellow by day and book gremlin at night.
You may know Rachel from her bookstagram @Reading._.Rachel where she blab about books she's have read, screams about all the amazing things she loves about reading, and sometimes share pictures of her 5 cats (especially when they are “participating” in her reading).
Rachel is so excited to be part of the team bringing Romance, Eh? 2025 to life. After attending book signings in other cities (and provinces), she realized it was time for Edmonton to get our own! The way these events bring together the romance community is pretty magical - and she is excited to bring some of the magic to you.
Cheryl is one of our teams executive officers and our fabulous author representative! You could say she's the "CEA" (chief executive author).
Cheryl runs a spicy book club that makes PowerPoint presentations to talk each other into (or out of!) the books we read. She has two corgis, three if you count the ones she can make from all the fur they shed on a daily basis. She finds it easier to take her pants off and be photographed than talk to strangers. Cheryl has a BFA in technical theatre majoring in stage management. One of her final projects was directing a scene from Hosanna where she got to put someone in drag for his first time, and the other was writing a play about diet culture that ended with a Lady Gaga dance party because she finished writing it at 2 am the day it was due.
Find out more about Cheryl's books on our Author Bio Page.
Stephanie is our fabulous volunteer coordinator! She is a rock star mom, and one of the friendliest humans! You may know her from her bookstagram: @teacupsandtropes
She is now an executive assistant by trade, but used to come from the book selling world. In 2021, the year her son was born, she read over 500 books. She has three kindles and each of them have their own dirty names that are NSFW.
Stephanie joined forces with Cheryl and Rachel after donating $150 to charity (Stollery Children's Hospital) so that Cheryl could pie her husband in the face! She soon after joined the STFUARSBLAGG book club and the rest is history!
We are so excited to have Stephanie as a member of our team, she brings the exact energy we need (a.k.a. she's a book goblin just like us!).
